Biography
Patty Stotzheim is a highly sought after litigator. She is known for taking on complex cases other litigators shy away from. Patty seeks proactive and creative solutions for her clients. Her clients appreciate her compassion and understanding of their individual situations Patty is also a skilled mediator, with experience assisting parties to cooperatively resolve their disputes.
For the past 15 years, Patty has been helping clients in contested estate and trust matters. Patty has challenged and defended the validity of wills, trusts, and non-testamentary transfers. Patty has extensive experience assisting clients in navigating probate and administration of their trusts. Patty also represents Guardian Ad Litems in court proceedings.
Patty graduated cum laude from Hamline University School of Law. Her legal education included training in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Paris, Budapest, and Jerusalem.
Patty has served in many volunteer roles, including the Minnesota State Bar Association as the Co-chair for Continuing Legal Education and as a member of the MSBA’s legislative committee. She is a member of Minnesota Women Lawyers and a long-standing estate planning study group.
Before her legal career, Patty achieved remarkable success as the head women’s gymnastics coach at Hamline University and later, Southeast Missouri State University. She also previously owned Spirit Gymnastics, Inc., a private gymnastics club in St. Paul. She frequently volunteers for Hamline University Athletics.
