About Our Law Firm
Steven Messick founded our firm in June 2020. Prior to starting Messick Law, PLLC, Steven was an associate and shareholder in the law firm of J. Scott Braden, P.A., in Faribault, Minnesota. Steven served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Judge Thomas M. Neuville (retired).
Steven is AV Preeminent peer-review rated* through Martindale-Hubbell for strong legal ability and high ethical standards, and he has also been selected for inclusion in Minnesota Super Lawyers Rising Stars since 2019, and the Super Lawyers list since 2021. Steven is currently a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Council and serves as a referee on the Rice County Conciliation Court.

Christine is the Lead Paralegal and Business Manager at Messick Law, PLLC. Prior to joining Messick Law, she worked for a well-respected real estate attorney in Faribault and was the Manager and Social Media Director for a fitness center.
Jessica Hafemeyer
Attorney
Jessica is 2001 graduate of Augsburg College and 2004 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law. She started her legal practice with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services and opened her own practice in Faribault in June 2010.

Scott has an extensive Guardianship, Conservatorship and estate planning practice. He has represented family members, social workers, and corporate Guardians and Conservators.

Jennifer is the Probate Paralegal at Messick Law, PLLC. Prior to joining Messick Law, she worked for J. Scott Braden P.A. in Faribault for 9 years and a well-respected Worker’s Compensation Law firm downtown Minneapolis for 10 years before joining J. Scott Braden P.A.
