Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our office is limited to visits by appointment only. We are dedicated to the safety of our clients and staff and are monitoring the situation daily. We are utilizing video and teleconferencing for meetings that do not require in-person contact and have instituted office cleaning protocols between clients for in-person meetings. Currently, we are requiring all persons visiting our office to wear a mask when entering our building. We have a limited supply of masks if you do not have your own. In-person meetings are not available if you, or anyone in your household, have experienced the following in the last 48 hours: a fever of 100 degrees; acute respiratory symptoms; or tested positive for COVID-19 and have not been cleared by a medical professional to resume contact with third persons. About Our Law Firm
Steven Messick founded Messick Law in June 2020. Prior to starting Messick Law, Steven was an associate and shareholder in the law firm of J. Scott Braden, P.A. in Faribault, Minnesota. Steven served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Judge Thomas M. Neuville (ret.)
Steven has an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell for strong legal ability and high ethical standards, has also been recognized by Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star since 2019. Steven is currently a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association Council and serves as a Referee on the Rice County Conciliation Court.
Jacquelyn Lutz joined Messick Law in September 2020. Prior to joining the firm, Jacquelyn practiced with a highly respected family law firm in Oakdale, Minnesota. Jacquelyn has been on the Superlawyers Rising Star list since 2019, and devotes significant time to pro bono representation through Legal Service of Dakota County.
Connor joined Messick Law in November 2020. Connor formally clerked for the Honorable Christine A. Long (Rice County). Before becoming a lawyer Connor worked as an architect, responsible for the design of large commercial structures in more than twenty-five states around the Country.
